Great Hikes Of The West Coast

Fancy seeing some of the most iconic places on our planet? C’mon, you’ve seen the pictures that look like they were made up, but someone apparently says they took it! Well, it's true… these fascinating places actually live on our planet and we want to show you some of the most iconic trails of the west coast.

1. Weavers Needle. Home to some of the most iconic pieces of stone on our planet. Fancy hiking it? Well, lace up your boots, get your gear ready… this is not one for the faint of heart! 8.1 miles of fascinating views and a chance to take some of the best photos your camera roll will ever see. This hike can be conquered in one day, roughly 10-12 hours. Make sure you don’t forget your protective gear as there are lots of loose debris. On the descent, get your cameras ready, here you will get your chance to take the best photos of the trip… as if they can get any better!

2. Now, if you want something a bit different. How do 4.4 miles of rocky trails and beautiful scenery sound? Dry Creek Falls offers the best scenery throughout all the seasons. However, the rocky terrain can be harsh on your body so make sure you have the right footwear to tackle the journey! Ensure to persevere and don’t turn around because the final 0.2 miles are something you don’t want to miss! The waterfall is beautifully scenic and is a once in a lifetime opportunity. After a long treacherous journey, your reward comes at the end.

3. Panorama Ridge Hike Squamish, BC, Canada is a hike to remember! While many tackle this hike in just one day, many prefer to spend a night camping at Garibaldi Lake or Taylor Meadows. During summer or early fall, alpine flowers in Taylor Meadows are blooming - Hikers must stay on the trail because certain vegetation can take years to regrow if it becomes damaged. To tackle this long journey you will need grit, determination, and… strong legs! The further into the hike you get the climb becomes steeper, you may even need to get your hands dirty as you scramble up the rocky slopes. On your descent, take in the view, take more pictures than you ever have. It doesn’t get much better than this!

If you're after a moderate trail that's family-friendly, be sure to check out Lake Ann Trail, Washington. This very popular hike can sometimes become very crowded due to its popularity from its incredible views and reasonable trails. As you venture through the hike, be prepared to hear the echoes of ice crashing down the face of Mount Shuksan. However, make sure you tackle this adventure as a late-season hike because snow lingers around into August! This is a fair trip consisting of 8.2 miles of fascinating views so put it on the bucket list, you have to try it one day!

4. Finally, one of the most exotic places on Earth, the Coyote Buttes Utah. This hike is not for your day to day stroll. In fact, its a once in a lifetime opportunity, and it is so sought after that you have to gain exclusive access to this incredible hike. Only 20 people per day are allowed to venture off into some of the most iconic rock formations in the world! There is no camping allowed so be prepared to tackle this hike in one day. Be warned, this is a dry, desert country which is very hot in summer, and the chilly winter nights can get very cold but days can be surprisingly mild. Always carry water too! Despite your potentially long wait to access this hike, don’t rush to the top. Take it steady and take in all of your surroundings.
